Setting Up

Load your Wallet to Metamask

1. Install Metamask.
2. Import the wallet you provided for testing during sign-up.

Switch to Rinkeby network

1. Open Metamask.
2. Click on the “Ethereum Mainnet” dropdown to the right of the Metamask fox logo.
3. Select Rinkeby.

Make sure you are on Rinkeby when running tests.

Add Rinkeby ETH

1. Metamask already has Rinkeby ETH loaded as an asset so you do not need to do anything.
2. You will see 0.025 Rinkeby ETH, provided you used the same wallet you registered with.
3. You will use Rinkeby ETH to pay for gas. As we are on testnet, 0.025 Rinkeby ETH will cover a few hundred transactions to thousand transactions.

Add Test DAI

1. Click on Assets.
2. Scroll to bottom and click “Add Token”.
3. Click “Custom Token”.
4. Paste this address in “token contract address”: 0x7D8AB70Da03ef8695c38C4AE3942015c540e2439
5. Click Next.
6. You will see 10,000 DAI under Assets.
7. You will use Test DAI to buy C-OP and add liquidity to C-OP.

You should have 0.025 Rinkeby ETH and 10,000 Test DAI. These assets only work on Rinkeby and have no use elsewhere.

Connect to Test App

1. Make sure you are on Rinkeby.
2. Make sure you have the correct wallet address with the Rinkeby ETH and Test DAI.

4. From here you can buy cover, add liquidity, or check claims. For an overview, of the app, click here.

Days 1–3

Task 1 — Buy C-OP: 0.5 ETH, Strike $1700, 1 day C-OP

1. From home page, click “Protection Buyer”.
2. Click “Buy Cover”.
3. Click on “Select” for the test “C-OP ETH” pool from the marketplace. When UNION launches more products, there will be additional policies or tiles to select from.
4. Under Amount, enter: 0.5
5. Under Term, select: 1 day
6. Under Strike, enter: 1,700 Note: by default the strike price loads current market (spot) price of ETH.
7. Click Get Quote.
8. Click Buy Cover.
9. On the confirmation screen, click Buy Cover again.
10. Confirm once on Metamask to allow spending of DAI (you only need to do this once).
11. Once approved, you will be prompted to confirm purchase on Metamask.
12. Confirm purchase on Metamask.
13. Once completed, you will be taken back to Cover dashboard, where you will see the position you bought. You do not have to wait on the Confirmation screen for transaction to complete, as long as you approved the transaction on Metamask.

Task 2 — Buy C-OP: 0.5 ETH, Strike 1700, 7 day C-OP

1. Repeat Task 1, with data below:
2. Amount: 0.5
3. Term: 7 days
4. Strike: 1,700

Task 3 — Buy C-OP: 0.5 ETH, Strike 2,100, 7day C-OP

1. Repeat Task 1, with data below:
2. Amount: 0.5
3. Term: 7 days
4. Strike: 2,100

Task 4 — Add Liquidity to C-OP

1. From home page, click “Protection Seller”.
2. Click “Add Liquidity”.
3. Click on “Select” for the test “C-OP ETH” pool from the marketplace. When UNION launches more products, there will be additional policies or tiles to select from.
4. In Amount, enter: 2,000
5. Click “Add”.
6. Approve the transaction to Add Liquidity on Metamask. Note: if you did not complete Task 1, you will be prompted to allow spending DAI first.
7. You will be taken to Liquidity Dashboard where you will see your deposited liquidity.
